RN> there. I think their users guide is only available online, so I RN> checked and found this: RN> http://files.support.epson.com/htmldocs/nx430_/nx430_ug/index.html RN> which is no doubt what you found and probably the source of your RN> frustration, even though it works. Screen capturing every one of RN> those pages is going to take a lot of time, so you might ask them RN> if they can make it available. i wouldn't be screen grabbing... that's too much work... however, diligent snooping under the sheets shows that they are using a frames format for that help file... viewing the frame source for the left hand TOC frame turns up all manner of links that all seem to start with "source/"... playing, i've found that replacing "index.html" in your above link with the link in the page sources turns on the actual page content... but this is still a lot of work unless, perhaps, wget or a custom screen scraper can grab it all and format it for local viewing... but there's still going to be a lot of work... FWIW: i note on the initial page that there is a reference to CHM which is one of the windoes help file formats... it would not surprise me at all to find that they are either breaking the info out of an existing CHM in the background or they have already done so and are using HTML to present it... it is also possible that the site is working from the original sources of the CHM file... the question now is if the CHM file can be found or made available for those systems that are not conntected to the 'net... i think that is the specific question that needs to be put to epson ;) )\/(ark * Origin: (1:3634/12) |
