   It must not necessarily be your system that's at fault here. What binkp
implementation is the other side running?

   Some binkp implementations, most notably Irex, are really buggy. Especially
when it comes to handle CRAM-M5D. With that turned off, p/w problems are
usually solved. Just a thought...
