That's the standard answer from people that don't support (all of) them. ;-)

Michiel gave the full answer... (Plus MSGID's can make dupe detection more
reliable and faster)

I think it's polite towards your fellow sysops, who use them, to have the
minimum set (as mentioned by Michiel).
