firesmoke.ca seems to indicate at least two wildfires to the  
north on your island.

I haven't anyone refer to the recent double-strike of tornados  
in one week as tornado alley, but it could fit.

The smoke from the wildfires from the north have diminished in  
my part of the province (near Algonquin Park).  It was nice to  
actually breathe some fresh untainted air for several days.   
Now.. it's been a bit hazy and smog-like from the smoke again.
