Until recently, I really wasn't very good about washing my car.  I used to say
the layer of crud on it was helping preserve the paint.

The past few years, I have actually waxed my car twice.  Being that my car is
10 years old, I have waxed it a total of (2) times.

I use that Nu-Finish stuff (you can get it at Walmart).  It works fantastic.
What I really like about it is the fact that it is said to be a "Once a year
car polish".  It does last a good long time.  I would say more like 3/4 of a
year long, however.  

There were people at my work that actually thought I bought a new car when
they saw it shining for the first time.
