It is a what comes forst "Tweh Chicken or the egg" thing. Manfacturers
are reluctant to jump in because of the lask of re-fueling stations.
Right now there are only about 500 Public CNG stations in the entire US.
EPA(Emission) regulations also make the Conversion very expensive, About
$10,000 curently, and only very late model cars are allowed to be
converted!!
