RW>I heard someone say the other day that today's dollar is worth 2 cents in RW>1950 dollars. If that's true, we're already there. Ignoring the rise in wages maybe. But wage creep has alsmot kept up for a lot of things. Wrwo examples. In 1950 one coune gwet a loaf of bread for 18 Cents. today the typical loaf of bread is $1.50 But the median income in 1950 was $5000 which Adjust for Inflation wourl be $25,000 today. But todays median Income is higher them that. So for soem things we are Better off. Soem we are worse off but that is because technological advances. One exampe is the todays care do sost more but all the Improved Saftet factors account for that. Another woudkl be Movies though. In 1950 the typical movie was 0.28 Cents where as today it is in the $8.00 to $10.00 range. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ Typo Tom strikes agaoin * Origin: Fidonet Since 1991 And Still Here.
