|  Battery replacement time  |
|  19 Sep 12 07:08:00  |
MH>The early fall season is battery replacement time of the year. MH>I have been alternating driving my 2012 Charger and my 2002 Monte Carlo - ev MH>other week (mixing some days riding the HD when the weather permits). MH>I went out to drive the Monte Carlo yesterday morning and got the weak batte MH>"click click clicking" noise. Wouldn't turn over. Then I was trying to thi MH>when the battery was last replaced - and it seemed like it wasn't that long MH>ago. MH>I keep everything logged when I do anything with my vehicles and took a look MH>Turns out the battery was replaced exactly 3 years ago - on a 3 year warrant MH>battery. The years seem to go by much faster as you get older.. Doesn't se MH>like 3 years, as I remember replacing it like it was yesterday. MH>I recharged it and it starts again, but it will probably have to be replaced MH>I figure it will go dead again. They just don't make long lasting batteries MH>like they used to. MH>Does anyone have any recommendations for decent batteries? MH>I currently have a Sears Diehard - Gold in the Monte Carlo. At least it las MH>as long as the warranty, which some don't even do that. I would either recomment the "Kirtland Signature" from CostCo Warehouse or the "Everstart" from Walmart. Both match the Amp Ratings and performance of the more costly batteries and also are highly rated by the reviewers. Two other highly rated batteries are the Sears Diehard and the NAPA batteries if CostCo or Walmart are not convient but the extra cost gets you nothing. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ 0 * Origin: Fidonet Since 1991 And Still Here.
