Do I want to know what you thought about a man who stayed drunk most of the
time?

I didn't even get that! After he bought the dealership I worked in for 17
years, he called a meeting of all the enployees one night to inform us we were
all starting over and there would be no more two week vacations nor were we
eligible for the one week vacation he was going to let us have until after we
were in his employ one year from the date of that meeting. No one spoke
aloud, but I'm pretty sure we were all thinking the same thing; some thoughts
were probably harsher than others. The idiot he left in charge to run the
dealership was an ex-Marine (is there such a thing?) who thought of us as
recruits in boot camp. I could go on and on about him, but suffice it to say
that not a one of us stayed very long after. I stayed a month and I think
that was too long. Benson subsequently shipped the idiot back to San Antonio
6 months after I left. The dealership was fading fast on his watch and I'm
not sure it exists anymore.

Regards,

Roger
