When I was in high school, my best friend had a '77 Corvette. A red corvette
made him a huge target for anyone with a crappy MOPAR product with a V8 and
primer spots at stop lights, and he lost more often than he won.

He was a stickler for parts, and bought his own NGK spark plugs, had them
replaced every 30K or so. After his 3rd set of plugs, the new mechanic he went
to pulled him aside to show him something.

He showed him 6 lightly glazed NGK spark plugs and 2 AC/Delco plugs burned down
to nubs. It seems that his previous mechanic didn't want to reach in to replace
the back two cylinder's plugs, so they tossed away 2 new plugs.
