Most likely the mechanic kept the new ones for his own use. That said, the two rear spark plugs are a bear to change -- almost impossible from the top, so I changed mine underneath. Anyway, we discouraged that sort of thing, but it still happens because of greed and laziness. It's unusual for a mechanic to get away with something like that because the car may not have idled or performed well and had he been caught by the service manager, he would have been fired. I have a video somewhere of a guy with a Japanese vehicle powered by an array of batteries with an expensive controller of some sort racing a 1/4 mile against a Corvette and winning. It was practically no contest off the line. Regards, Roger --- timEd/386 1.10.y2k+ * Origin: NCS BBS - Houma, LoUiSiAna - (1:3828/7) |
