General Practice in the automotive repair business. Doing that makes for
good customer relations.

Could also mean that the Subaru dealer is hoping they can bait you into
buying a new one. I get those and more from the local Chevy dealer.
Yesterday I got a Xmas card from them with a $20 gift certificate, good
only at the dealer for service, etc.. This dealer hasn't heard from me
since I took my 02 pickup in for recall service; they replaced the cables
that hold the tailgate up before it hits the bumper. That was in 2005.
