You never do. Most of the time you take it in the shorts when buying a
car.

As with everything else man-made in this world, it doesn't last very long
and wears out rather quickly. Leather seats can get comfortable with age
but begin to crack from use rather soon, satnav systems are obsolete
within months after you buy them and speakers are prone to moisture damage
after a while.
