Actually I believe it is the other way around. The Mazda Tribute is
really a Ford built in St Louis.
Some years back the Little Ford Courier(1972-1993) was just a Mazda
rebadged. Becasue of the "Chicken Tax" in 1994 the situation was
reversed.
The Ford Ranger became the Mazda Pickup.
