So, what you're saying is that it is barely broken in...When I was looking
for a suburban, most of what I was looking at had that kind of mileage and
more. In the meantime, my neighbor Les, who lived across the steet
suffered a fatal heart attack and his widow put all of his collectible
vehicles up for sale. I asked for first bid on it when she and his brother
began to clean out the house. When it came to it, they were asking $2500
and I offered $2200. Sharon, his widow was even more generous with the
vehicle prices and only took $2k for it, handing me $200 in cash with the
title.
Les took very good care of his vehicles (he had 6) and the suburban was
freshly painted less than two years before his demise, so I can't tell if
the 98,000 odometer reading is just 98k or 198k...sad to say that I told
Les that he should have done better body work, as it waves at you when it
drives by. Other than that, it runs and drives like new.
