I remember people complaining about them but they were never the owners. :) Those old Fiat designs weren't bad - I went to high school in sunny California where rust wasn't a problem, and there were a bunch of Fiat 128 coupes, sports, and X1/9s around. It seemed like the electrics were more of a problem than the engines. I'd always liked boxy, fast cars -- wanted to get a Fiat 128, put an air dam on it, throw a weber carb on it, campagnolo mags, stickier tires... but I was in a school full of Camaros and Chevelles. Back then, I had a Fiat 850 Spyder - convertible, rear-engine 903cc pushrod 4 cylinder. 0-60 in 18.9 seconds. --- SBBSecho 3.03-Win32 * Origin: http://realitycheckbbs.org | tomorrow's retro tech (1:218/700) |
