They look a bit similar. Well there will be two flavors of Bronco, the Bronco Sport and the regular Bronco. The Sport is unit body construction using the Escape platform and will be available at the end of summer. The regular Bronco is body on frame construction and will be available 2021. Don't let the Bronco Sport fool you however as it will have 8.8" of ground clearance and quite technical transmission with center locking differential. It will pretty much compete with and dominate competetors like Jeep Cherokee / Compass, Toyota RAV4 TRD Offroad and Subaru Forester if you think the Subie is competition. Base engine is a turbo 3 cyl but will have a 2.0L turbo available which is more desireable. Now the real Bronco is exciting as it's targeted at the Jeep Wrangler with 2 and 4 door versions. Even the baseline Bronco is targeted at people who want to add there own wheel/tire combinations and could be had with a twin turbo engine but I hear there is a V8 option in the picture.
