I've got 2000 miles on my i3 now, and love it. My only concern is the
power monopoly. PG&E offers electric incentives (Heck, I got a $1000
check for buying a used EV!) and I'm sure are helping to lobby against
gas-powered cars, while they raise electrical rates. My rates went up
18% this year, and I'm on an EV plan with peak-off peak pricing.

Apparently, it's harder to sell back power to the utilities if you have
rooftop solar. I'm sure the for-profit utility companies are looking
forward to an all-EV future.
