A recently published report from airline data provider OAG shows that the
London Heathrow - New York JFK route, operated by British Airways, is the most
lucrative flight route route over a 12-month period. Number two is the
Melbourne - Sydney route, operated by Qantas.
 
On the British Airways flight between London and New York, more than thirty
percent of the seat capacity is reserved for First and Business Class seats.
The route earned the company more than $ 1 billion in revenue over a
twelve-month period. Five of the ten best earning routes start at London
Heathrow.
