|  Russian aircraft de-registered in Bermud  |
|  13 Mar 22 22:18:31  |
MSGID: 2:292/854 1b152c3d TZUTC: 0100 Russian airlines are hastening to register their planes in the national aviation register, now that the registrations of about 180 aircraft have been canceled by Bermuda this weekend. Aeroflot, among others, had housed its fleet there on paper. Until recently, due to a favorable tax environment and to avoid Russian import duties, a significant part of the Russian commercial aircraft fleet flew with a VQ or VP registration. Due to international sanctions, no spare parts for Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft have been supplied to Russia since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. "Due to the measures, we cannot verify the airworthiness of these aircraft," said the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA). "That is why the certificate of airworthiness of the aircraft has been revoked." In Russia, hundreds of western aircraft operate on Aeroflot, Pobeda, S7 Airlines and other airlines. Leasing companies have been claiming the planes since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, but Russia has called on them not to comply. As a precaution, there are no longer flights abroad (with the exception of Belarus) to prevent aircraft from being seized. --- DB4 - 20220222 * Origin: AVIATION ECHO HQ (2:292/854) SEEN-BY: 1/123 15/0 80/1 90/1 105/81 106/201 120/340 123/131 129/305 SEEN-BY: 129/330 331 153/7715 218/700 221/1 226/30 229/110 317 400 SEEN-BY: 229/424 426 428 664 700 240/5832 280/464 282/1038 292/854 SEEN-BY: 292/8125 301/1 317/3 320/219 322/757 335/364 342/200 396/45 SEEN-BY: 460/58 633/280 712/848 PATH: 292/854 229/426 |
