The factory of aircraft manufacturer Antonov in the Ukrainian capital Kiev was
shelled by Russian troops on Monday. The huge factory complex, where the
series production of Antonov aircraft takes place, is located in the western
part of the city.
 
The attack on the factory also hit a high-rise building, according to the
Ukrainian parliament, which killed at least two people. Seven people were
injured, and a total of seventy people were evacuated.
 
In the early days of the invasion of Ukraine, Russian troops attacked Antonov
International Airport in Gostomel, northwest of Kiev. The world's largest
aircraft, the An-225 'Mriya', was destroyed.
