KLM is canceling over a hundred return flights on Friday because a storm is
brewing. The affected passengers are being contacted so that they can be
transferred to another flight in time.
 
"Due to heavy gusts of wind, there will be limited runway capacity at
Schiphol. By canceling the flights now, people are prevented from being
stranded at the airport and we can search for a solution with them in time."
said a KLM spokesperson.
 
Wind gusts of up to 85 kilometers per hour are expected in the morning (wind
force 9). In addition, there is a lot of rain and the temperature drops to a
maximum of 15 degrees Celsius.
