MSGID: 2:292/854 183a4721 TZUTC: 0200 Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary is "happy" to operate the flights that deport asylum seekers in England to Rwanda, if he has available planes for that. "If we had any spare aircraft in the winter schedule and the government was looking for additional deportation flights then we would be happy to put in a quote," O'Leary said during an interview in London. The British government has not approached Ryanair about operating the flights, said O'Leary, who is known for his controversial statements. The Ryanair CEO rejected the United Nations warning that airlines facilitating the deportations could be complicit in violating international law. Editor's note: When will someone call this "cruel and unusual punishment" ... --- DB4 - 20230201 * Origin: AVIATION ECHO HQ (2:292/854) SEEN-BY: 15/0 80/1 90/1 105/81 106/201 128/260 129/305 135/220 225 SEEN-BY: 153/7715 221/1 226/30 227/114 229/110 112 113 307 317 400 SEEN-BY: 229/426 428 470 664 700 280/464 282/1038 291/111 292/854 SEEN-BY: 292/2226 8125 301/1 320/219 322/757 335/364 342/200 396/45 SEEN-BY: 460/58 633/280 712/848 5075/35 PATH: 292/854 229/426 |
