|  26 Aug 24 18:56:53  |
MSGID: 2:292/854 19404f5f TZUTC: 0200 Three Boeing 747-8Fs that previously flew for Russian AirBridgeCargo are starting a new life in the US. The aircraft were recalled by leasing company BOC Aviation after the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent sanctions. Now a new user has been found for the jumbos. The aircraft are being added to the fleet of Atlas Air, the world's largest user of cargo 747s with fifty units in service. Among them are four 747-400LCFs, which are used to transport fuselage parts of the 787 Dreamliners on behalf of aircraft manufacturer Boeing. In addition, Boeing 737s, 767s and 777s are being flown. The three additional 747-8Fs will be delivered in the third quarter of this year. --- DB4 - 20230201 * Origin: AVIATION ECHO HQ (2:292/854) SEEN-BY: 80/1 90/1 105/81 106/201 129/305 153/7715 221/1 226/30 227/114 SEEN-BY: 229/110 114 317 400 426 428 470 664 700 280/464 282/1038 SEEN-BY: 291/111 292/854 2226 8125 301/1 320/219 322/757 335/364 342/200 SEEN-BY: 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 5075/35 PATH: 292/854 229/426 |
