|  737 production increase  |
|  18 Oct 25 23:50:46  |
MSGID: 2:292/854 1f3c4023 TZUTC: 0200 Boeing has been allowed to increase production of its 737 MAX aircraft. This was previously limited following an incident involving a detached door panel. The aircraft manufacturer has now received permission from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to produce 42 aircraft per month, up from 38. The FAA imposed the production restrictions following an incident last year in which an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft malfunctioned in flight and lost a door panel. The incident revealed safety and quality deficiencies at Boeing. Increasing deliveries of the popular aircraft is important for restoring Boeing's financial stability after years of production disruptions and crises. The company has been operating at a loss for years. The FAA stated that safety inspectors have conducted extensive checks on Boeing's production lines to ensure the production increase is being carried out safely. --- DB4 - 20230201 * Origin: AVIATION ECHO HQ (2:292/854) SEEN-BY: 80/1 105/81 106/201 128/187 129/14 305 153/7715 154/110 218/700 SEEN-BY: 221/1 226/30 227/114 229/110 317 400 426 428 470 664 700 SEEN-BY: 229/705 280/464 291/111 292/854 2226 8125 301/1 320/219 322/757 SEEN-BY: 335/364 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 902/26 5001/100 SEEN-BY: 5075/35 PATH: 292/854 229/426 |
