|  Delta 767 taxies for 3 hours  |
|  17 Dec 25 18:09:52  |
MSGID: 2:292/854 1a154512 TZUTC: 0100 A Delta Air Lines Boeing 767-300 had to taxi for nearly three hours after landing at New York John F. Kennedy Airport last Sunday before reaching a gate. Operational problems at the airport due to the winter weather were the cause. The aircraft, registration N193DN, had already departed San Francisco that morning with a nearly hour and a half delay. After a flight of over five hours, the 767 arrived in New York. The airport has been experiencing winter conditions for some time, which, combined with a staff shortage, is leading to handling delays. Because departing aircraft are waiting longer at the gate, there is a shortage of available parking spaces for incoming flights. As a result, the 767 had to taxi across the apron for nearly three hours before space became available. Other incoming flights also faced similar delays. --- DB4 - 20230201 * Origin: AVIATION ECHO HQ (2:292/854) SEEN-BY: 80/1 105/81 106/201 128/187 129/14 305 153/7715 154/110 218/700 SEEN-BY: 221/1 226/30 227/114 229/110 112 134 317 400 426 428 470 SEEN-BY: 229/664 700 705 280/464 291/111 292/854 2226 8125 301/1 320/219 SEEN-BY: 322/757 335/364 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 902/26 SEEN-BY: 5001/100 5075/35 PATH: 292/854 229/426 |
