|  BA has phased out the 767  |

British Airways has definitively said goodbye to the Boeing 767. The type had been in service since 1989 and last weekend carried out a commercial flight. The tasks of the 767 are taken over by more modern types. In total, British Airways carried no fewer than 425,000 passenger flights with the Boeing 767. On Sunday, the last aircraft, with registration G-BZHA, carried out the last flight between Larnaca and London Heathrow. Originally, the Boeing 767 was used on flights to distant destinations, such as New York, Calgary and Abu Dhabi, but in recent years the type mainly operated European flights. The Boeing 767 was followed up at the British airline by the Airbus A320 series and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The A350 will also be deployed on former 767 routes. --- D'Bridge 3.99 SR33 * Origin: AVIATION ECHO HQ (2:292/854) |
