XPost: ba.politics, dc.media, soc.penpals       XPost: alt.burningman       From: chimaps@chicago.edu              An Aurora ex-convict charged this week with killing the mother       of two of his children has a history of domestic violence,       including being arrested for shoving his mother, according to       court records.              Bail for Christopher Whetstone, 45, was set at $2 million       Thursday. He is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting       of Rachel Taylor, 22, on Monday night near Whetstone's residence       in the 500 block of Charles Street.              It was one of two Aurora killings on Monday. Two brothers from       Joliet are charged with first-degree murder in the drug-related       killing of an Aurora man. Bail was set Thursday at $1.5 million       for Dmitri Hosey-Green, 18, and $1 million for his brother,       Jaquan Hosey-Green, 19.              Police say Taylor's shooting death started as a domestic       altercation with Whetstone.              “It appears they were boyfriend and girlfriend at one point,       though we don't know what the current status of the relationship       was,” police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said Thursday. “We do know       they have two kids together.”              Police say the man and woman were arguing Monday and Whetstone       shot Taylor multiple times in the abdomen with a handgun. She       was taken to a hospital but was later pronounced dead. Whetstone       was arrested minutes after the shooting.              At his bond hearing Thursday, Kane prosecutors asked for $1       million bail, but after Judge Christine Downs was informed of       Whetstone's extensive criminal history, she doubled the amount       sought by the state, a spokesman for the state's attorney's       office said.              Kane court records show more than half a dozen incidents of       domestic abuse allegedly perpetrated by Whetstone, though none       involved Taylor.              Whetstone, however, has been imprisoned twice for domestic       violence against a woman he dated for nine years, and with whom       he fathered two children, records show. He also served prison       time on a drug conviction, records show.              In 2006, police were called to Whetstone's house because he was       yelling at family members, and in front of officers, he shoved       his mother several times, according to files. He was charged       with battery, records show.              In the other homicide Monday, the Hosey-Green brothers are       accused of killing Arin Williams, 20, who was shot to death       Monday night in the restroom of an Aurora restaurant during a       drug-related hold-up, police said. During a fight between the       brothers and Williams, Dmitri Hosey-Green is alleged to have       shot Williams once in the head.              Police were able to track the brothers to a location in Cicero,       and they were arrested Tuesday afternoon, police said.              http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/suburbs/aurora/chi-bail-       set-three-men-charged-aurora-homicides,0,418521.story                             --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
