XPost: ba.politics, dc.media, soc.penpals       XPost: alt.burningman       From: chimps@democrats.org              An outbreak of what police believe is gang violence continued in       Boston this afternoon when a man was shot in the Bromley Heath       development in Jamaica Plain.              Two suspects were taken into custody after the non-fatal       shooting, which police believe was gang-related, said Boston       Police Captain John Danilecki.              This afternoon’s shooting came after three people were shot and       killed Sunday night and early this morning in what police say       were two other gang-related incidents.              Shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday, a man in his 20s was shot and       killed outside a convenience store at 1886 Dorchester Ave. in       Dorchester. The man was shot multiple times and pronounced dead       at the scene, police said.              Several hours later, a man and woman, both in their 20s, were       shot outside of 92 Rosewood St. in Mattapan at about 2:44 a.m.       today, police said.              Police said they believed the two fatal shootings might be       connected.              Authorities said the latest slayings brought the total to nine       for this year. There were only three at this time last year. No       arrests have been made in either of the fatal shooting cases.              This afternoon’s shooting happened at about 4:20 p.m. near 49       Horan Way, said Officer James Kenneally, a police spokesman.              He said the victim was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.       The shooting scene remained sealed off with police tape this       evening as uniformed officers and detectives investigated.              An apparent bullet hole was visible on the side of a white Honda       Accord that was parked nearby.              One resident who would only give his first name, Joshua, said       the victim lived in the development and went by the moniker “Big       Dawg” because of his size.              “He’s a musician,” Joshua said.              He also remarked on the brazenness of the daytime shooting. “Oh,       way too early,” he said.              http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2014/01/27/three-shootings-       boston-leave-one-dead-and-two-       wounded/ssDEw1BjOIMe6QAhaWVJ9J/story.html?rss_id=Top-       GNP&google_editors_picks=true                             --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
