   HIGHLAND >> Pictures on a cell phone found inside an inmate’s   
   state prison cell prompted Highland deputies to arrest a woman   
   for allegedly sexually abusing her children.   
      
   Officers at Kern Valley State Prison — located in Delano — found   
   heroin and a cell phone in the cell of Juan Bravo, who is   
   serving a life sentence, according to a statement from the   
   Highland sheriff’s station.   
      
   On Wednesday prison officials told Highland deputies, pictures   
   on the phone in Bravo’s cell showed a Highland woman sexually   
   assaulting her two daughters, both minors.   
      
   The woman, Evelyn Alvarez, 28, took the photos and sent them to   
   Bravo, according to the sheriff’s station.   
      
   It’s unclear how Alvarez and Bravo are related or acquainted.   
      
   Highland deputies arrested Alvarez Wednesday afternoon in the   
   26900 block of Base Line, according to booking records.   
      
   She’s being held at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho   
   Cucamonga in lieu of $250,000 bail, suspected of two counts of   
   committing lewd acts with a child under 14 and photographing an   
   obscene act with a minor,   
      
   She’s scheduled to appear in San Bernardino Superior Court today.
