XPost: ba.politics, dc.media, soc.penpals       XPost: alt.burningman       From: billsteele@dev.null              FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -       A man wanted for shooting three people early Saturday morning       was found Tuesday hiding in a clothes dryer in a Fayetteville       home -- but his dreadlocks still hung from the machine.              Luther Gatling, 23, of Teague Street in Fayetteville, was found       Tuesday morning at a house on Zabell Drive when officers       searched a home and noticed his dreadlocks sticking out of the       dryer.              Gatling was wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon       inflicting serious injury and a felony violation of his       probation in connection with three shootings on Sept. 6.              Police arrested Corienne Ladwon Whitfield, 21, of 4413 Zabell       Drive, and charged her with harboring or aiding certain persons.       Police said she was released on an unsecured bond.              Police are searching for Ryan Detrell Robinson, 22, who is       wanted for questioning in the shootings. Police said Robinson is       not wanted on any criminal charges and detectives only wish to       speak with him.              Police said around 3:19 a.m. on Saturday, a dark-colored SUV       entered the parking lot of 4943 Bragg Boulevard and hit the       curb. Patrons in the parking lot began to exchange words with       the driver of the SUV when someone inside the vehicle opened       fire, police said. Investigators believe Gatling and another       person were in the SUV.              One person in the parking lot was shot in the leg and another       was grazed by a bullet, police said.              At around 3:32 a.m., police said a taxicab driver was dropping       off a customer near B and Link streets. A dark-colored SUV       pulled up next to the cab, and the SUV driver said something to       the cab driver. Then a passenger in the SUV pointed a handgun at       the cab, police said.              The cab driver saw the gun and drove away. Police said several       shots were fired at the cab, some penetrating the vehicle, but       no one was injured.              And then just after 4 a.m., police said a woman was standing in       the front yard of her residence in the 800 block of E. Orange       Street when a dark-colored SUV drove into the yard. A passenger       in the SUV shot the woman in the leg, police said.              Investigators believe the same SUV was involved in the three       shootings. Police said the SUV used in the shootings was       recovered Saturday.              The driver and a passenger of the SUV at that time were detained       and questioned.              Anyone with information concerning the investigation or the       whereabouts of Robinson is asked to contact Sergeant G. Womble       with the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 916-2764 or       Crimestoppers at (910) 483-8477.              http://www.ksla.com/story/26487613/shooter-found-after-he-hides-       in-dryer-but-dreadlocks-show                             --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
