   SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -   
   A local news reporter was arrested Friday afternoon by   
   Shreveport police vice agents at a local park.   
      
   Shreveport police say 37-year-old Eric Adolphus Cox, also known   
   as Eric James, was arrested at Hamel Park late Friday afternoon   
   and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a charge of   
   obscenity, which is a felony.   
      
   Another man was also arrested in the incident. 47-year-old   
   Michael Broussard is also charged with obscenity.   
      
   SPD Cpl. Marcus Hines will only say that the arrests were   
   involving an incident with the vice agents, and that the   
   investigation is ongoing. Online booking notes for Cox say,   
   "Subject exposed himself and asked undercover agent to perform   
   sexual favors."   
      
   James was most recently an education reporter for Shreveport ABC   
   affiliate KTBS.  According to his biography on the station's   
   website, which has since been taken down, James' has family ties   
   in Texarkana, Texas.   
      
   Station management released a statement on the station web site   
   Friday night, saying "We have heard the report of his arrest. We   
   are in the process of gathering more information and   
   investigating the matter. In the meantime, Eric James has been   
   placed on administrative leave."
