   Your $40 dollar socks are the product of inflation...nothing new   
   despite what the tea party would like to believe. In the late   
   1800's you could buy a house with land for $40. Inflation has   
   been running at or below its historic average throughout the   
   last 8 years. Taxes are a part of life, they pay for a lot of   
   the common services you have come to enjoy. Please by all means   
   stop using some of these services as a protest and true sign of   
   faith in your conservative cause. Please stop using roads,   
   bridges, sidewalks, etc. and tell your kids to home school their   
   children. Please stop participating in society so we can reduce   
   taxes.

   The country you just described is Spain not America. What planet   
   do you live on? Are you a Fox or Limbaugh groupie? Every point   
   you made is exactly the opposite of what is happening in   
   America. We have the lowest tax rates in the industrialized   
   world. Conservative ideology has ruled since Reagan. Clinton and   
   Obama have governed as right of center moderates in bed with   
   Wall Street. More and more states are controlled by republican   
   majorities. Conservatives have OPPOSED the new deal, civil   
   rights, legal abortion, the great society and Obamacare since   
   the day they were created. There is no left in America. The   
   right has moved farther and farther into the extreme fringe with   
   each election. The tea party and the rich own the house of   
   representatives. Open your eyes and your brain.

   "Tax rate" is not a blanket statement, there are many countries   
   which have lower tax rates than U.S and U.S has low tax rates in   
   certain other sectors. Conservatives have opposed all those you   
   have mentioned yet civil right movement succeeded as did   
   Obamacare. So fact is there is very much the left in America.   
   Not everyone in America is so stupid to have an opinion formed   
   before discussing and listening to an issue, there are many   
   Americans who support Civil Rights and are opposed to high   
   taxation for the middle class and do oppose billionaires getting   
   tax breaks.

   Progressives are as intolerant as the far right, you simply   
   cannot have a reasonable discussion with them if your views are

   The so-called "conservatives" took over the House in 1994 and   
   they have been responsible for nearly all of the enormous debt   
   that has been created, even discounting the 2 years out of 20   
   that Pelosi ran the show.   
   You see in America we have this thing in the Constitution called   
   the origination clause. It means that not a dime's worth of new   
   debt can be whipped up without support from the Republican side   
   of the aisle. Not a nickel. And the Republicans MUST agree to   
   nearly a dozen different appropriations to create every new   
   massive deficit that ends up on the national debt ledger year   
   after year after year. The liberals are irrelevant as the so-   
   called conservatives are the ones who have controlled the spigot   
   that can shut down debt in one Constitutional stroke TODAY.   
      
   "All tax revenues have been exhausted for the year you say"?   
   "Yes Mr. Gingrich/Hastert/Boehner!".   
   "Well I guess it's time to raise taxes, or shut down the   
   government or... worse still pass some serious spending cuts!".   
      
   Except the self-appointed Conservatives are in reality non-   
   existent.   
   They are unicorns. They never were. A myth. A fairy tale.   
      
   So your rant against liberals is odd. Since it's been self-   
   described conservatives who have made adding debt to the nation   
   possible in the first place. The hero of Conservatives, not the   
   liberals, was Reagan who convinced every politician from   
   California to Virginia that you could indeed add debt, cut   
   taxes, never pay for a dime of it all and win triumphant re-   
   elections in landslide fashion. Whether that spending is for the   
   military or social welfare, a calorie is a calorie. If   
   conservatives never existed in the first place then why bother   
   calling all the irresponsible "liberals"? That's like calling   
   everyone pessimists when there was no existence of an optimist   
   the first place.   
      
   Liberals and conservatives don't exist in America. We have   
   capitalists.   
   Mostly crony.

   They are both wrong in over spending but the social programs are   
   a nightmare and funding them is going to be impossible. The only   
   good in Republican spending is that things like the military are   
   much easier to make immediate cut backs.

   I think you mean marginal cut backs in military spending are   
   easier. A Republican making major cuts to military budgets is a   
   fairy tale. But more importantly, your whole premise is a false   
   one. Republicans continue spending on the major culprit of U.S.   
   debt: Medicare and Medicaid, just as much as Democrats. They   
   even campaigned against Obama for cutting this social program in   
   2012. Republicans mocking a liberal for cutting a liberal   
   socialist program. That was the moment history recorded the GOP   
   as losing all credibility.
