XPost: ba.politics, dc.media, soc.penpals       XPost: alt.burningman       From: raver23@msn.com              JACKSON, Miss. — A woman has been charged with trying to make       money off the horrific burning death of a Mississippi teenager.              Janet Posey, 39, of Blue Springs, was arrested Wednesday by       investigators with the Attorney General's Consumer Protection       Division and the Union County Sheriff's Office, according to       Attorney General Jim Hood. Posey is charged with one count of       attempted false pretense and one count of communications fraud       for allegedly setting up a scam to raise donations online for       the family of 19-year-old Jessica Chambers.              Hood said the Internet service provider worked quickly with the       Attorney General's Office find the physical address the activity       came from, Hood said.              "She was trying to get people to give money and acting as if she       was a family member," Hood said. "We got online, found her       Internet protocol address. She tried to cover it up. Our       investigators will continue to work and see who else is       involved."              Chambers was found in Courtland, Miss., on Dec. 6, walking away       from her burning vehicle with burns covering more than 98% of       her body. She was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, where she       later died. Officials have classified the investigation as a       homicide.              Posey was arrested before she raised any money, according to       Hood.              She was booked into the Union County Detention Center on       Wednesday. Jail records show she was released on $40,000 bond       late that night.              If convicted, she faces up to 15 years behind bars, 10 for false       pretense and five for communications fraud.              Contributing: The Associated Press; Apel also reports for The       (Jackson, Miss.)
