XPost: alt.fan.states.idaho, seattle.politics, or.politics       XPost: co.politics       From: criminally-complicit@sfchronicle.com              BROOKLYN, Iowa —       Mollie Tibbetts went missing while on a run in Brooklyn, Iowa,       on July 18, 2018. The 20-year-old University of Iowa student's       body was found in August 2018 in a corn field. Cristhian Bahena       Rivera has been charged with first-degree murder in Mollie's       case.              Over the past two years, Mollie's family, friends and community       made sure her legacy lived on. Here are only a few ways Mollie       is still being remembered today:              Teaching to be kind: Brooklyn educator shocked by students'       tribute to Mollie Tibbetts              A children's holiday concert in Brooklyn turned into a touching       way to honor Mollie Tibbetts.              Runners nationwide hit pavement in memory of Mollie Tibbetts              Runners are using the hashtag #MilesForMollie across social       media, dedicating each mile they run to Mollie Tibbetts and       others lost.              Donations pour in for Mollie Tibbetts' Dance Marathon page              Hundreds of dollars were donated to Mollie's Dance Marathon page       the February following her death.                     Mollie Tibbetts legacy lives on through multiple events,       organizations              Thousands of cards have gone out encouraging people to live like       Mollie.                     Mollie Tibbetts' mother talks to Dr. Oz about her daughter              Laura Calderwood, Mollie’s mother, says following Mollie's       murder, the kindness poured in.                     Acts of kindness, donations pour in on Mollie Tibbetts birthday              Iowans donated money and spread acts of kindness in honor of       Mollie Tibbetts's birthday.                     KCCI's Laura Terrell explains what it was like reporting on       Mollie Tibbetts              "Her mom doesn't want people to just remember the horrible,       unthinkable, gruesome way that she died. She wants people to       think of the way that (Mollie) lived," Terrell said.              https://www.kcci.com/article/history-and-hope-former-georgia-       mayor-says-meeting-civil-rights-leader-at-young-age-led-her-to-       serve-community/35668747                      --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
