   To clarify, Teflon coated bullets were a real thing, although as you say   
   Black Talons weren't Teflon coated.  The coating wasn't for more   
   effective terminal ballistics,, it was to reduce barrel wear.

   Black Talons are not prohibited by federal law.  Winchester stopped   
   making them due to them being wrongly vilified as cop-killers.  You can   
   still buy, own and use them if you can find them.  There are half a   
   dozen kinds of ammo made today that are the same thing.

   My personal favorite is the Federal HST because you can buy a 50-round   
   box for about what most brands cost for a 20-round box.
