While I strongly appreciate your activity in tempering or       ceasing several commercial businesses, health clubs should be given particular       attention to opening for two reasons: 1) there are people in need of physical       therapy and who have physical conditions which require them to exercise to       maintain their physical health. Likewise better health is important for all       people during COVID.              2) It's sitting in one place, especially indoors, that gets someone infected       with       COVID. Work, commercial parties, restaurants, barber shops, nail salons,       public       transportation. Unless you "catch cold." Even at the gym, you MOVE AROUND       while       in it, compared to sitting at one place in a restaurant, at work, or at a       party,       breathing the virus in and out, in and out, in and out, in and out.              Moving around is safer social distancing, and people don't go to the gym when       they're feeling tired. So either maintaining gyms open, or enacting extra       safety       measure for them, is a better plan. Inspecting gyms for fresh air and       ventilation       systems is a good idea. People need fresh air when exercising anyway.                     Sent to Gavin Newsom via: https://govapps.gov.ca.gov/gov40mail/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
