All this talk about kids shows made me think of one local show in
Alabama (tapes here in Huntsville) from when I was a kid: "Grunches and
Grins", hosted by a long-time local story-teller (she was always at the
library when I was growing up; she's still on the local public radio
station periodically).  I was part of a group on the show when I was
about 4 years old, playing violin.

It was on long before we had a VCR, so we never had a copy.  I just went
searching for info about the show, and I read that all the master tapes
were destroyed in a fire in 2002.  Too bad.
