I certainly enjoyed season 3 and 4 when Manny Coto came on board as
producer/writer. I can re-watch Enterprise no problem but Voyager just
annoys me especially the endless technobabble and dialog that replaces sfx
"photons away Captain . . . . their shields are down.

It's not surprising that of the trek series, Voyager is the one folks are
trying to do better. There's an element of that in the RDM BSG, which I
noticed based on a criticism he made of voyager, and the same could be said
for Stargate: Universe. One of the things I love about Babylon 5 is that it
managed to avoid the spiffed up western settings -- Lewis and Clark or Wagon
Train, followed by the fort on the edge of civilization, followed by the
lost patrol. For some reason Stargate, with all of its wonderful
demonstration of soft arc story work, (B5 being a Hard Arc) story) that one
set of choices sort of mystified me.
