It has.  I was led to believe that the Sun would be quiet for the next 10
years, so we have 9 more to go.  But maybe those CMEs are as difficult to
predict as the weather in this area.

I had the same problem here with the Supermoon last month.  Too overcast to
see anything, so I had to wait for the pictures, which is not quite the same. 
That must have been quite a sight for those who were able to see it.
