THAT is crazy... I haven't used, or had to install Windows since CS> Windows XP! It's sad the direction the 'big' software companies are CS> going.... And gettng crazier all the time. I got Windows 10 free because I took part in the INSIDER pprogram. The very first thing it did was break a couple of programs I use daily. So, I uninstalled it (you have 30 days to do that) and installed it on another drive so I could then dual-boot to and from it. One of the things they did was disable the changing of window colors. I kicked up a fuss about that to no avail and I'm not the only one, either. THEN on the February 2019 rollup they changed their voice recognition system, known as Cortana, so that you had to train it to your voice whereas the original one understood me perfectly.(!) ...There's never a gong around when you need one. Regards, Roger P.S. I have a spare machine with XP on it that runs perfectly. I really like it. --- D'Bridge (SR41) * Origin: NCS BBS - Houma, LoUiSiAna (1:3828/7) SEEN-BY: 15/2 123/1970 226/17 229/107 354 426 1014 240/5832 249/206 SEEN-BY: 249/317 400 280/464 317/3 322/757 342/200 393/68 3828/7 PATH: 3828/7 229/426 |
