Hi! Bill, On 22 Sep 15 07:41, you wrote to me: >> Let me know if you want the later version and I'll re-post the >> DEBUG script for it. BG> To tell ya the truth, I couldn't do anything with a DEBUG script, not BG> being a programmer. If you could tell me where to download the actual BG> file itself, I might be able to do something then. The usual practice has always been that such scripts come with instructions on how to use them. I did try it in XP but the attempt crapped-out, as is usual for anything DOS I ever needed to do in it. Which is why I'm still running Win98SE, with the best ever MS-DOS. Okay. I ran DEBUG against the script, and it produced a neat .ZIP enclosing an .EXE called Datefile. I ran Datefile against a test text file in XP and it worked! I now have a file named 092315A.TXT in place of the original. How's that! :) I'll deliver the Datefile.Zip to your node, real soon. Look out for it. Cheers, Paul. ... In case of emergency, break glass. Scream. Bleed to death. --- Paul's Win98SE VirtualBox * Origin: Quinn's Post - Maryborough, Queensland, OZ (3:640/384) |
