|  Problem starting bbbsd  |
|  29 Nov 17 03:22:40  |
Hello Chad, > I tried starting the telnet server by: > ./bbbsd 1 1 Telnet's:23 Do you mean "./bbbsd 1 1 telnetd:23" ? > It says could not bind > There is nothing running on port 23. > Am I doing something wrong? bbbsd loaded as user can't bind to ports less than 1024. I load bbbsd as root at bootup which allows bbbsd to bind to the necessary ports. bbbsd will load as root but switch to run as user. The command line I use to load BBBS here is: ./bbbsd 3 22 telnetd:23 httpd:8080 ftpd:21 rawd:24554:binkp "quiet" "fork" "uid:bbbs" & Note: All on one line.
