Since there is a Fidonet echo named the same thing, I wouldn't doubt if it is
gated. Since most of the conversation goes on over here on the Scinet side.

Or there is always the possibility that this is what was meant to happen. So
that people that were not members of Scinet can read it on Fidonet, and vice
versa.

I would solve that by turning off the newscan on one of the two areas. Or
making one of them a passthrough echo.
