You can always recover or recreate those capabilities on a different OS,
but it's a long and grueling journey. I went from Windows to Linux a number
of years ago (too many to remember, lol, 8? 9? :) ), but I do remember it
being a complete pain in the ass regaining everything I had going
originally. Once it was complete, I never wanted to do anything like that
again. :)
