there was another bbs i was on that had the tons of scrollers. and then it
froze up on some inter-bbs bbs nodelist (why would i want to know who was on
other bbses?).  i had to hang up and call again.

so i did the 'quick' login.  then i got a facefull of ansi scrollers again.
i just told him about the freezeup issue and disconnected.
i got no email back so he probably doesn't even call his own bbs to see how
annoying it is.
