I found an old nodelist from when I first joined Fido in 1992, and it was 
mind-boggling how many BBSes there were at the time. I knew it was big, 
didn't recall how big.

I was in San Francisco, remember calling Tom Jennings' Fido BBS. I 
downloaded Fido from there, and Opus a little later on. The notion of being 
able to do everything with a batch file and a couple of DOS executables 
intrigued me.
