Because you are using a version that is dead inm the water.  I use PB 2.17
which was release before Telegrafix destroyed it.  The upcoming version fixes
several Y2K issues that Telegrafix didn't fixed.

John bought the source code from the former Telegrafix programmer who legally
owned it.  John had others go through it and fix a few things but the PB
source code was still a terrible mess (I know; I have a copy of it).  John
then realized he couldn't do much with it so he sold it to Jason who has been
able to fix a lot of the "fatal" issues with the PB code.

With 2.17, it's freeware, no registration.  The rest of the Telegrafix and
John's "registration" code is gone.

Jason Bock is a member of Fidonet and can be reached in the PROBOARD echo or
at proboardbbs.com.  He's also a member of Micronet and can be contacted in
MIN_PB.
