There'a a lot of pissin' n' moanin' about the way BC Hydro does it's
business. Where's the environmental problem? Somebody's saying that
"if this, then that". I don't see facts in their argument.
Do the environmentalists really have a legitimate beef or do they just
take umbrage about how BC Hydro may conduct its future bottom line?
They could, they would, they won't, etc.. ..lots of conjecture.
I don't know the issue that well but I read all of the post and I'm
like, okay, yeah, they could, oh they would? Mmm.
I've heard locals from way back when saying they don't want their
Shangrila's encroached upon by big business. Yeah, but the times move
on and some sacrifices have to be made in the name of progress.
But I've never heard tell of any environmental damage even done by the
old Bennet dam when it was built. Yeah, some things were sacrificed
but it wasn't in sizable proportions that could never be brought back.
Methinks a lot of old liberal hippies just fall into their automatic
mantras that all big business is evil and destructive, therefore...

Hey the Tar Sands! I'm down for shutting the WHOLE fucking thing down
and throwing the all corporate boardrooms in jail or to hard labor
cleaning up the tailing ponds and other water systems where their
   poisons are leeching in.
Thanks for the info, but like I say, I don't see the damage like I do
the Tar Sands. I'm not saying there won't be, but I haven't heard a
good reason yet other than people pissed off at the way Hydro accounts
for itself. Well that shit can change by government actions but the
actual environmental umpact has not been presented as far as I can
tell to this point in time, but with Campbell in the government, hang
onto your hats its rodeo time! Somebody's always gettin' bucked off
and put back in the saddle. I don't like the fact that that liar is
behind anything. He brings no credibility to any bargaining process.
I'll keep my eyes and ears open on this one.
