|    To kill the HST - this time you'll have     |

XPost: bc.politics, van.general, vic.general       From: NøCøns@our.House              They're playing word games with the question on the HST. Up until now, the       anti-HST campaign       was asking British Columbians to say 'NO' to the new tax. The BC 'Liberals'       (name change       pending) have decided to use that wording trend to trick some voters into       voting FOR the HST.              They've worded the question in such a way that if you voted 'NO' this time       around, you'd       actually be voting for keeping the Hated Sales Tax, not killing it.                     The question is being worded this way:              " Are you in favour of extinguishing the HST and reinstating the PST       (Provincial Sales Tax) in       conjunction with the GST (Goods and Services Tax} ? "              An answer of "Yes" means a voter wants the HST repealed.       An answer of "No" means a voter wants it to remain in place.              Advise all your anti-HST friends, neighbours and family members of this       wording. The BC       'Liberals' will be hoping that the NO Campaign will result in a whole lot of       people being       confused and continuing to say 'NO' on the actual referendum.              Especially, let those who do not read or speak English well, of what they need       to mark if they       want to have the HST gone.              Why aren't we surprised that the BC 'Liberals' would try this stunt with the       voters?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
